RASHANDA WILLIAMS | POETRY

Rashanda Williams is a Guyanese-American writer born in Freeport, Grand Bahama and raised in South Florida. She teaches literature, creative writing and composition at the University of Alabama, where she is an MFA candidate in creative writing. She earned a B.A. in Psychology and Editing, Writing and Media from Florida State University and has previously worked as the fiction editor of Kudzu Review, coordinating nonprofit youth creative writing programs in Tuscaloosa and Tallahassee, and as a children’s therapist and cultural immersion teacher.
